Ok, I’m just wondering what the deal is with the auto sales ads lately? They’ve always been somewhat annoying but lately it’s just too much. First its that annoying “for well-qualified buyers” snippet when you hear the price. What does that mean? I may be jaded, but I assume its the obvious – great credit score, good bank account balance or forget it. Not that I disagree with it but really…in every commercial? It’s a turn-off.
The other annoying crap with these commercials is the rapid fire comparison between the “low lease rate” and the “discount financing.” It splashes on the screen in a split second with a whole lot of “additional information” under it. Seriously, the best thing about TIVO/DVR’s is being able to freeze the frame and read the crap. Its almost as bad as that damn screen from the producer of “Two and a Half Men.”
Now I have to do “flash math” or something??
Look, after the pretty pictures and the cool shots of the car running, I’m expecting the info pop but really..enough is enough.
